Scripts are used to process data. Most web pages process data and the customer never even knows it. Behind the scenes a script goes to work to process the customers' request. This could be anything from submitting a form to performing a search. Scripts can be written in many different languages but by far the most versatile is PHP. PHP is practically universal, being accepted by almost all web hosts. Since scripts are written a different language than the web pages, most web designers either do not write the scripts or charge extra for them. In order for your pages to work correctly and your data to be processed, a script must be written. It simply would not make sense to develop a page and then not have it work because there is no script. That is why The Basics will provide the scripts that your web site will need at no extra charge.
